PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Uncommon 70s keyboard synthesizer in excellent condition and working order after a service for us from a top synth tech. Demo below.

Also manufactured for Unicord and named the Poly-Ensemble P with model number K-4.

100v model – more voltage info below.

One of Korg’s first polyphonic instruments, very unusually for a 70s paraphonic/polyphonic synth from the 70s it has a separate oscillator per key. This makes it sound richer since detuning between octaves is possible using the Pitch Expand knob. It has seven preset sounds: String, Pipe Organ, Brass, Piano, Electric Piano, Harpsichord and Clavichord, plus an eighth preset “Control” is a free synth mode with a selection of square or sawtooth waveforms.

In excellent cosmetic condition with very few signs of age to the face. Three of the keys have some scuffing and marks on them which we were unable to remove, these are minor cosmetic flaws and do not affect the functioning of the unit. The case has some scuffs to the edges and corners but nothing too major. See detailed photos for more info on cosmetic condition.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number – please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

  • 100v Japanese model – it will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
  • A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
  • We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
