Freshly serviced. Uncommon analog monosynth from the mid-seventies. Great condition. 220v unit.

Description

We’ve not had one of these Korgs before and still need to get a proper demo done, but a quick zoom into the main image of the controls should tell you plenty about what you get here.

If (like us) you are fan of the 700S then this 770 is definitely your sort of thing. Monophonic, quirky, has a wild ring modulator, can take an external input… Yes, it’s limited in terms of sound-shaping options, but these “limited” synths have just the kind of magic in them that we can’t get enough of. (Vintage Synth Explorer only give this three stars, but as they give the 700 just TWO I think we can safely say that they want something different to us out of their old synths…).

Condition

In excellent cosmetic condition with some minor scuffing to the face. There is a streak of surface oxidation under the finish in the LFO and VCO1 sections as shown in the photos. The end cheeks are clean with some chips to the woodwork around the edges. Overall this unit looks crisp and presents very well. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
