Offered for sale is this rare vintage Domino valve (tube) amp made by Jennings Musical Industries (aka Vox) in Great Britain in the early sixties (1962?).
It is in very good cosmetic condition and excellent working order and comes with the original plastic footswitch for the tremolo (please photos below for details).
Rated at around 5-6 watts, it has a full complement of Mullard valves and sounds lovely as you’d expect – it has an identical circuit to the Vox AC-4. It’s been serviced by John Chambers at Champ Electronics – he’s done his usual mods to improve the versatility of this lovely little vintage amp: high & low input sockets and an internal tremolo depth control trimpot. At some point in its life it had a monster of a transformer added in the bottom of the cabinet, but it has now had a period-correct replacement fitted.
