Fender Large Box Tweed Tremolux 5G9 - 1960

Super rare and sought after version of the tweed Fender Tremolux, serviced and in very good condition.

The larger cab is thought to give a wider tonal response. In lovely condition and complete with original (re-coned) Jensen speaker. Some cap replacements, original transformers. Replacement handle (original included), repro footswitch. Back panel has had the tweed pulled back and re-glued on removal of the now illegal asbestos panel. Comes with black PVC cover.

CONDITION: In very good overall condition. The face has oxidation patches but is clean overall. The tweed cover is showing some wear and discolouration but shows little sign of damages common to amps of this era. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

• A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.

• We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

This amp is part of a superb collection of early British valve amps that we are selling on consignment for a customer. He has been collecting amps for over 30 years and that’s his description above. It will be supplied tested and in good working order.

Note that as they are part of a large collection which has been in storage, there may be a delay in shipping if a fault is discovered in the final testing (this is not uncommon with amps that have been sat on the shelf).
