Amazing electro-mechanical device – great sound and a unique design.
Serviced and working well. Note that although it is missing the double footswitch we have made a blanking plug for the rear socket which allows you to select the Slow or Fast modes depending which of the pins it is connected to.
Please note: the photos of this unit were taken before servicing, some of the internal shots may be different after servicing if minor components are changed.
Lifting off the top cover reveals a beautiful piece of Italian engineering – the rotation of the speaker is emulated by a spinning disc surrounded by a ring of sensors. FBT were (and still are) primarily makers of pro-audio gear but in the 70s they made a few forays into other areas including some now crazily rare synths and effects. It has an interesting sound, especially when the depth (“Deep”) of the effect it turned up. Also features the “Turn on/off” knob which allows you to select the speed with which it spins up and slows down (to more accurately simulate the mechanics of a Leslie).
Very good cosmetic condition with a few minor scuffs and scratches to the case. The top and back of the unit are showing some noticeable oxidation.
220v model.
