You missed it!

This is an original Eventide Instant Flanger model FL-201, dating from the late 70’s.

Well maintained and in excellent condition (see detailed photos below).

Responsible for lots of the classic effects – from phasing, thru flanging, mono to stereo processing, flanged reverb (e.g. Ultravox)

This particular unit has had several modifications:

First of all, XLR connectors for the inputs and outputs have been fitted above the tag strip.

Mains connector is IEC.

The position on the front panel that was formerly occupied by ‘Remote’ has now been utilised for a Feedback control that enhances the flanging effect. (Fitted as standard on later units).

There is an extra white button fitted at the Envelope Follower which allows for an ‘external’ audio source to modulate the flanging. Normally when you engage the Envelope Follower, the input signal to the unit is the source. When you push the extra switch, an external source will operate the Envelope Follower. So, for example, you could have a string pad going through the Flanger and it could be flanged by a drum fill fed into the rear panel connector – a brilliant effect!

There are no known operational faults with this unit.

(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used – even during shipping – this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).

It is a UK 240v unit – buyers from USA/Canada and countries with a 110v mains supply will require a step-up transformer. For overseas countries with 240v power, the UK plug will be removed prior to shipping unlesss otherwise requested.
