A rare and highly sought-after green-face V1 Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress pedal for sale in excellent working order.
This is the sought-after early hand-flowed board version: calibrated and sounding superb.
Both David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and Andy Summers of The Police famously used 18v Mistresses as part of their signature sound – just plug a guitar into this pedal and you’ll realise why they are so highly-prized.
The 18v Electric Mistress is the best Flanger EH ever made – far superior to the Deluxe and reissue models in many ways.
This pedal sounds fantastic, offering a wide range of quality effects: from subtle chorus-style thickening through classic syrupy-rich flanging to insane psychedelic modulation.
This pedal dates from the late 70s. It’s certainly seen some action but truly sounds fantastic and is built like a tank (made in USA). It wears its battle scars with pride and certainly has mojo aplenty – as you’d expect from a player’s vintage EH pedal (see photos).
Internally it’s in good condition and in as perfect a working order as a well-used 30 year-old pedal can be. It’s had four new rubber feet from the base and the battery clips are probably not original.
Please be aware that this is a vintage pedal and will not be as clean-sounding as modern boutique and digital units; like many vintage EH pedals (depending on the instrument it’s used with and the signal chain) some volume drop can occur when the effect is engaged; this can often be solved by putting a buffered (ie Boss type) pedal before it in the signal chain (bypassed).
It’s powered by 2 x 9v batteries or 18v power supply (not included). Two new batteries are fitted ready for sale.
