Vintage EH Big Muff Pi pedal in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order.
Version 6 with the EH3034 heralded a return to the classic transistor Big Muff sound after the Op-Amp Big Muffs – the pot codes are 1981 making this little beauty over 30 years old. It’s in amazing cosmetic condition for its age and sounds as good as a vintage Muff should.
It has a few minor scuffs and scratches but it looks incredibly good for a effect pedal that’s been around over a quarter of a century, it’s built like a tank – made in USA – and it sounds fantastic. Sonically the V6 is similar to the V3 Big Muff – the classic Muff sound, but is very ballsy – more mid-scoop and bigger bottom maybe – the Tone Bypass option (bypasses the tone circuit – not ‘true bypass’) is good for more aggressive, raw-sounding fuzz; there’s bags of sustain and gain to be had.
At some point in its life it may have had a new battery connector, but apart from that it looks to be in original untouched condition. It can be powered by the supplied new Duracell Procell 9v battery or EH power supply (not included and untested with psu).
