Offered for sale is this Dynacord Echocord Super in excellent cosmetic condition and superb working order. It has just had a full mechanical overhaul and electrical service and been fitted with a new tape and is ready for action.

It contains several original Dynacord ECC83s , valuable on their own.
In excellent condition for its 50 or so years (see many detailed photos below description), it’s been working beautifully in our studio and adds an authentic 50s/60s vibe to whatever you put through it. There are two motor speeds for shorter/longer delay times, and three heads to choose from – 6 delay options in total. In addition, the reverb setting creates a halo-type effect that sounds lovely with guitar, but is also very useable in the mix. This machine sounds great with a variety of sources: guitar, synths, keys, vocals or as a mix effect. It’s capable of distortion when pushed. A testament to German engineering and design featuring 5 ECC83 valves and one ECC82, this really is the Mercedes of tape delays – a very high quality unit indeed.
There are no major operational faults with this unit, but please bear in mind that it is a vintage machine and minor operational issues are likely over time: it’s been recapped and serviced and is currently working very well.  There can be minor amounts of noise when moving the Echo volume pot – disappears with a couple of turns and doesn’t otherwise affect operation.
(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used – even during shipping – this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).
Converted to IEC mains socket – switchable power supply so can be used anywhere in the world without a transformer.
