Very cool analogue delay – the first non-tape echo unit that Dynacord produced. These are not common and we really like them: capable of some brilliant, and sometimes very weird, effects (great for those Boards of Canada “seasick” effects…).
This one is in excellent condition, serviced and sounding great. It has very few signs of age aside from some minor dings to the face and back.
Pre-dating the mighty VRS 23 and quite different to that machine, the EC 280 has delay, reverb and chorus functions all produced by eight Phillips BBD chips. Each one of those settings can produce some quite unconventional takes on the effect it is supposed to be producing. We’ll add more information and some demos of our own if we have this for long enough; in the meantime there’s a youtube demo of one below.
