Rare “secret weapon” pedal from the very early days of Boss effects (mid 70s). It’s essentially a super-versatile boost/overdrive that packs a 5-band EQ and compressor to give a huge amount of control of the sound.

Serviced, working very well and ready to ship.

Description

Boss Driver DB-5 for sale in full working order. This is from the same era as the wonderful CE-1 and was once again Boss innovating and then executing their ideas to a high quality.

It has three modes: Equalizer only, Attack & EQ, or Distortion & EQ. The panel is self-explanatory and just looks great – more 70s Boss/Roland design genius.

It also has different signal paths with separate inputs for Lead or Bass guitar.

Serviced by us and with a new power socket fitted.

Can also be battery powered but most likely you’ll be powering it with a standard 9v supply (no included).

Condition

Case and face has scuffs and dings but it’s definitely on the right side of having character/mojo. The knobs are not original (they should have black centres) but they are 70s Roland and don’t look out of place. But it’s built like a tank and weighs in at about 2kg.
