BIRD GOLDEN EAGLE

A fully refurbished and modified/improved Bird Golden Eagle amp for sale in excellent condition.

This is one of my own amps – when I bought it, it was in a terrible state, painted with blue gloss paint and not working. I set about recovering it and making it nice – have used it as both a guitar and a harp amp over the years. It’s been totally rebuilt and in the process the amp tech did some redesign work to the circuit to improve performance – these were not the greatest circuit designs to start with. It now functions well, has a good sound and a very pleasing tremolo. The reverb settings are not great and it should be considered to effectively have a non-working reverb. As original as possible internally – all major components are there, including the three elliptical speakers. Has external speaker output socket fitted.

A unique-looking and unusual little valve amp – can sound very good miked-up for recording.
