Classic 60s beatbox from the fore-runner of Roland. Very good condition, serviced and working well.

Description

Overhauled and ready to ship. Sounding great.

We love our vintage beat boxes, but we’ve got a particular soft spot for this one as it is the model J.J. Cale used on his debut (and big office favourite) “Naturally” – good article here about early beatboxes, Sly Stone, and J.J. Cale from Wax Poetics.

Ace Tone was started by Ikutaro Kakehashi who went on to found the Roland Corporation. The build quality and attention to detail is generally great – these machines were built to last. The sounds are rich and full of character and many variations are possible by selecting more than one rhythm at the same time.

Condition

In very good overall cosmetic condition, the face is very clean with only minor signs of age. The case is good with scuffing and wear around the edges. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

117/120v model. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
