Shiva Feshareki
Shiva Feshareki is an experimental composer, NTS Radio DJ and turntablist.
Holder of a Doctorate from the Royal College of Music, her diverse output explores acoustics, perspective and the sound of electricity through wide ranging practises that incorporate classical methodology. In 2017, she was honoured with the British Composer Award for Innovation from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers & Authors.
Shiva fell in love with a Soundgas Space Echo after using one for her performance of Daphne Oram’s Still Point at the Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms Pioneers of Sound in 2018. We have loaned Shiva a Space Echo to allow her to continue her journey into vintage echoes. Towards the end of 2018 it was in action in some groundbreaking performances, including at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (VAC) and London Jazz Festival, as well as featuring heavily in her FACTmag Against the Clock video.
